Turn off Desktop Notification of New Email

By default, when you receive a new email message when Outlook is open, a Desktop notification will appear in the top-right corner of the screen. You can turn off this feature.

To turn off the Desktop notification,

  1. Go to the File tab and click on Options.
  2. In the Mail category, go down to Message arrival.
  3. Uncheck the box for Display a Desktop Alert.
  4. Click OK.
